MacMerc.com: iPod Freeware

Spiffy. I made Freeloader Friday with TR.

I’m working on 1.2 at the moment. It will be nothing more than 1.1 in Cocoa with some general UI goodness and, perhaps, some AppleScriptability. That last bit might be the only sensical way to get iTunes exporting to work, but we’ll see.

Now taking feature requests for TR 2.0. This round we’re in Cocoa (I have TR 1.0 functionality in the Cocoa version as of now (plug some UI goodies like an actual progress bar…)) and there’s a lot more open than the old framework could handle.

Here’s a list of “future” ideas (not necessarily 2.0). Feel free to vote for one or more. Let’s be realistic as well. ;)

  • Replacement table to aid in pronunciations (will support TTS phenomes as well).
  • Export All command.
  • A “collection” document type that can hold a group of text files to encode and preferences per document (voice, rate, destination, etc.).
  • Ability to encode RSS feeds (I have some special ideas about this one…).
  • Direct MP3 export (have to learn QuickTime’s APIs first so this will be a bit off).
  • Control over pitch, rate, voice, etc.

Comments welcome.
